Overview

Daycron is a macOS productivity app built to help you plan and focus. We collect as little data as possible. Most of what Daycron knows about you never leaves your device.

What leaves your device

Daycron is local-first. Your data is stored on your device and is only transmitted in the specific cases described below.

Your email address (optional)

If you provide an email address during onboarding or in Settings, it is stored with Loops (loops.so), a marketing platform we use to communicate with early users. Providing your email is optional. To request deletion of your email, contact shrume@daycron.com.

AI distraction classification

When you are in a focus session, Daycron sends app names and window titles to OpenAI (openai.com) to determine whether your current activity is related to your task. No URLs, personal files, or identifying information are sent. OpenAI's data processing is governed by their privacy policy.

Anonymous analytics

Daycron uses PostHog (posthog.com) to collect anonymous usage analytics — events like app launches and feature interactions. No personally identifiable information is attached to these events. This data helps us understand how the app is used and improve it. PostHog's data processing is governed by their privacy policy.

Children

Daycron is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact shrume@daycron.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Data security

Email addresses are stored with Loops, which maintains its own security practices. All other Daycron data lives locally on your device and is subject to your Mac's own security and encryption settings.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Daycron after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
